Laboratory Furniture

One of Nelson’s customers markets highly specialized, premium laboratory benches and furniture to universities, hospitals and commercial laboratories across North America. Nelson works in consultative partnership, providing design services during the proposal phases to end clients, value engineering during the product development phases, support in testing, production and assembling the final product.

The WAVE Exercise Machine

Nelson worked with the client to design and value engineer successive iterations of the machine, using innovative software models to test the concept pre-manufacturing, and suggest design changes that improved manufacturability and reduced per-unit costs.  Nelson now works with the client to assemble the entire line of machines, including pneumatic, electronic and mechanical components, as well as providing warehousing services and handling the logistics involved in distributing the finished product across North America.

BBQ Components

Nelson produced a wide variety of stainless steel components for a large manufacturer of high-end BBQ’s  We worked closely with our customer’s Engineering, Production Control and Quality Department to optimize product design and logistics so that rigid, JIT schedules were met to feed an assembly line. Packaging solutions developed by Nelson drastically reduced the number of parts damaged at the client site post-manufacture, saving the client both time and money.

LCD Display

Nelson worked closely with the client to develop an aluminum enclosure designed for rugged marine applications.  The services we provide include Value-engineering, Fabrication, Welding, Finishing and Silk-screening.

Battery Charger Enclosure

This account required close tolerance contract manufacturing and an expeditious transition from prototyping to high volume production to meet stringent time requirements. The services we provided include Value-engineering, Fabrication, Welding, Finishing and Kitting.

Indoor / Outdoor Advertising Signage

Nelson provided engineering and manufacturing support for an international marketer of technically advanced illuminated displays and street furniture for outdoor and retail advertising display industries.   We assist in proofing the product’s design for manufacturability then manage the integration of internally produced items with externally sourced materials which include glass, aluminum extrusion and electronics.
