Metal Accents
Metal accents, commonly referred to as ornamental metals, comprise a gamut of metal fabricated items for interior as well as exterior building envelopes. Available in a variety of designs and finishes, Nelson Architectural offers a wide range of components including bollards, kiosks, street furniture, specialty light fixtures, decorative trash receptacles, metal umbrellas and more.
Nelson’s unique fabricating capabilities lend themselves to the manufacture of non-standard shapes and sizes which are often not readily available from other manufacturers. As a result, Nelson’s metal accents have been the number one choice among many prestigious commercial, institutional and transportation facilities across North America.
While the most common materials include Aluminum, Brass, Copper, Core-Ten™, Galvalume™ and Stainless Steel, when it comes to finishes, alloys and thickness we are limited only by their availability from world-wide sources.
In addition to the aforementioned options, baked powder enamel, and two and three-coat fluoropolymer paints are commonly used to enhance the appearance of the components. Nelson also offers a wide range of linear, non-directional and selective brushed finishes, particularly in stainless steel, as well as faux-wood options like our exclusive Ourborite™ finish.
